The Sprenger Baby Pelham is a versatile bit that offers just that little bit of extra control for strong and powerful horses. Thanks to its shorter shanks, this bit provides a more subtle action than a standard Pelham, while still maintaining leverage. The double jointed mouthpiece distributes pressure evenly over the tongue and bars, increasing comfort for the horse.

The curb chain helps limit pressure on the poll and adds stability. The Baby Pelham is often used with Pelham straps, but for more refined communication, using two reins is recommended—especially at higher levels of training. In most competitions, a curb chain guard and Pelham straps are mandatory.
